Who Are We?

Elaine Nuzzaco, Head Librarian, IB Extended Essay Coordinator
has a Bachelors in Secondary English Education from Brigham Young University, a Masters degree in Library and Information Science from Catholic University, and a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from George Mason University. She enjoys non-fiction, biography, and historical fiction, and belongs to three book clubs. She collects photos of post offices around the world, is a "Paris-trained" pastry chef, and bakes wedding cakes. This is her 4th year at Mount Vernon, and 17th year in education.

- Students may come to the library with a signed agenda pass during the school day.
- During lunches, students will need to pick up a lunch pass prior to their lunch period to be released from the cafeteria.
Book Checkout and Return
1. Library materials/books may be checked out for three weeks. Need more time? You can renew them for an extended period.
2. If we do not have the book title, the librarians can probably get it from another FCPS library. Ask for an ILL request.

Computers and Printing
1. Printing/Scanning is free for students
2. Computers are available for academic use only
3. Printer kiosks are available in the cafeteria and the library entryway.
